About the Opportunity

As a Backend Developer Intern at GenMitra Technologies, you will work with our engineering team to design, build, and maintain backend services and API architectures. You will gain hands-on experience working with relational databases, server-side frameworks, and secure authentication workflows. This internship is designed for aspiring software engineers who are enthusiastic about system design, data modeling, backend logic, and developing robust backend systems.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement RESTful API endpoints and backend business logic using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Model database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and manage migrations with PostgreSQL.
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization checks, and request validation middleware.
  • Integrate external third-party APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous background tasks.
  • Write automated unit and integration tests for API endpoints and service methods.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and resolve integration bottlenecks.

  • Commitment to clean code, structured error handling, and data security.
